The next version had a tubular aluminium footbar, rolling on rollerblade wheels, along a simple wooden track – this worked very well, and was transferred to the next seatdeck.

Meanwhile, the 'swingarm rigger' (painted red) which is the crux of the invention, worked even better than expected.
