The production of the crossbeams has caused more problems than the rest of the boat put together.

First we tried to 'bag' the inside (which works extremely well on the hulls), and then we tried the foam blanks system (which works fine for the footbar), but sealing was always a problem – we could not manage to get the three-way junction between the two-part top mould and the bottom mould to seal properly.

This was holding up the whole project, so I was forced to redesign the crossbeams and mould, and have a new mould made. This has recently arrived from Rojac and, when some detail problems with that are sorted, we should be able to pull some good crossbeams and move forward.
